Bill Aldrich

"Securities. Insurance. Investment Advisory. Under One Roof."

Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 — registered as an Investment Advisor Representative. Life, health, and annuity licensed. I operate across both sides of a wall that typically divides the industry, which means I can analyze, advise, and execute without being limited to a single lane.

When someone brings me an annuity, I'm not thinking about whether I can sell them a replacement. I'm thinking about whether what they have is actually working. Sometimes the answer is to keep it. Sometimes it's to optimize it. Sometimes it's to walk away and start over.

That's the difference between selling products and solving problems.

Why I Do Things Differently

I started in financial services in 2007 — right in time for the world to fall apart.Watching what happened in 2008 taught me something that's shaped everything since: the traditional playbook doesn't always work, and the people selling it don't always have your interests at heart.

The 60/40 portfolio was supposed to be safe. Bonds were supposed to balance stocks. In 2022, they fell together. The model broke.

That's why I advocate for what I call the Hybrid Portfolio: equities for growth, annuities for guarantees, and nothing in between that pretends to do both. Growth assets should be left alone to grow. Guaranteed assets should be truly guaranteed. The advisor's job is to help you figure out the right mix for your life — not to sell you whatever product pays the highest commission.

Annuities aren't good or bad. They're tools. Used correctly, they can provide certainty that lets the rest of your portfolio take intelligent risk. Used incorrectly — or sold by someone who doesn't understand them — they can lock up your money, drain your returns, and leave you worse off than when you started.

My job is to know the difference.

What This Looks Like in Practice

A client came to me with a variable annuity she'd owned for years but couldn't quite understand her statements. When we broke it down, she was paying for an income rider she'd never activated, and her money was sitting in a fixed account. After all costs, she was barely keeping pace with inflation — inside a product designed for growth.

Since she wasn't using what the variable annuity was built for, we moved her to a straightforward fixed annuity with a higher guaranteed rate, no rider fees, and a clear surrender schedule. Same safety. Simpler structure. And for the first time in years, she actually understood what she owned.

This case study is based upon an individual client experience and may not be representative of the experience of other clients. It should not be considered a guarantee or indication of future performance or success. All guarantees are backed by the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.

A Little About Me

I grew up in Minnesota and moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2007 to pursue a career in financial services. Over the years, my interests have expanded beyond work into investing, entrepreneurship, and understanding how money supports a life well lived.

I'm a Golden Knights fan — hockey finally came to Vegas and I'm not letting go. A Raiders fan, for better or worse. And I've spent more time than I should perfecting my gumbo recipe.

Outside of work I stay active at the gym, take cruises with friends and family when I can, and spend a lot of time at the grill. I'm always up for trying a new restaurant. I also collect watches — it's a hobby that's been with me for a long time.

I care about a few causes that matter to me personally: financial literacy, because everyone deserves to understand how money actually works, and animal rescue, because some things just don't need explaining.

Want to talk?

If you've read this far, you probably have a sense of whether we'd be a good fit. I work best with people who want straight answers, not sales pitches — and who have enough at stake that getting it right actually matters.
